Well Sledgehammer listened and here we are today with laser beams.
I remember when MW19 released, players were having a discourse of being able to use ALL attachments. This is might be a step forward to fill lobbies and will likely be repeated in MW22 with more fine-tuning. Sledgehammer seems to be tackling the combat pacing issue by omitting “Assault” pacing and keeping only Tactical & Blitz.Arms Race is okay, but outside of that… what else is there? The lackluster game modes is accurate - the game lacks the variety MW19 & CW brought. At the least, it’s a very forgettable CoD, but otherwise it’s a solid FPS, arguably the best one that has released in the past year. I’m not saying Vanguard is amazing, but it’s also not horrible. Don’t let the vocal minority who constitute this subreddit dictate the majority who probably don’t care to follow or participate in online discussion about the game. While you may not think it’s fun, many others who continue to log-on every day do.
I do believe Vanguard is getting better every season even if it’s very slightly. Vanguard to me is the first flop of SHG but newer stuff with better graphics require more time and Activision didn’t understand that. As of it had the best character customization of any CoD. Not my favorite but they did a lot of good things. To me it’s a game that your either gonna love it or hate it. That is, once they stopped updating it, they activated all the double do so if you play the game now you have permanent double XP for everything that can be leveled up.Īdvanced Warfare was fun for me I have a soft spot for it since it helped me get a whole lot better with aiming and marked an improvement in my performance in CoD altogether. Also they have done one thing I’ve never seen a CoD developer do that I give massive props to. By the end of the lifecycle they made many massive good improvements. Doesn’t help this is their 3rd game and it they had to go to a new/updated engine. They needed more time and Activision forced it to be released. Honestly I can’t say I’d blame SHG for it being bad.
